We went last night and bought the carpet for the baby's room. Only spent $126 and we both love it. Scotchguarded, nice soft tan that isn't supposed to shed. Right from the Home Depot!!! We were going to try installing it ourselves today, but as it usually works with us, turns out a friend of ours has a good friend that does carpet and is available this morning to make quick work of installing it for us... the right way!!! So my SIL and BIL came right over this morning and helped me empty the room while Hubby ran an errand with said friend and picked up said carpet installer! All I have left to do right now is clear the walls and wipe them down. Figured might as well dust them onto the OLD rug!!!
So these are the BEFORE shots! I have been wanting to have her room ready for awhile, and mostly because I wanted to take a pictures of the room finished to the shower so I can show off the great furniture we had already received as gifts, that were obviously too large to take to the shower with us.
It's such a great feeling to finally see progress being made, I think it will go a long way towards me feeling a bit more relaxed and settled and ready.
My mom and her husband are coming tomorrow and together I hope we can get the furniture put together and placed in the room. Should be a very productive weekend!!!
